Made in the USA

Engineered, designed, manufactured, assembled and tested in Berne, IN, ROTAC® Hyd-ro-ac® actuators offer the highest quality and durability by keeping processes in-house and controlling each step of the manufacturing process.

A POWERFUL FORCE IN ROTARY ACTUATORS

The rotary actuators' superior design results in a number of benefits. Its exact positioning of parts results in less internal part wear for reduced maintenance and a more immediate response. The design’s compactness creates a smaller product footprint to enhance efficiency, reliability, and cycle life through low energy consumption. If your application requirements fall outside the range of our standard lines, our engineers will modify or custom design to fit your specific requirements.

About Rotary Actuators

For decades, Rotac® and Hyd-ro-ac® vane style rotary actuators have provided torque for a wide range of industrial applications used throughout the world – from transportation, freight handling, and automation, to food processing and medical equipment.

Rotac® and Hyd-ro-ac® actuators are compact, durable, and easy to maintain. Our vane style actuators use hydraulic pressure applied to the shaft mounted vane to produce higher torque than pneumatic applications. For both types, a closed chamber is created on each side of the vane. When hydraulic or pneumatic pressure is applied to one chamber, the shaft rotates in the appropriate direction.

There are several factors to consider when determining the best type of actuator for a given task, such as available space, expected performance (determined by arc rotation, projected life cycle, and ease of maintenance), and required force and displacement.

Rotac® and Hyd-ro-ac® vane style actuators are available in a variety of models with pneumatic or hydraulic capabilities that provide a broad range of output torque. Our actuator sizes range from two inches in diameter to over thirty-six inches weighing over 2,000 pounds. We strive to meet the specific needs of our customers by accommodating special requests whenever feasible. The possible applications with our actuators are virtually endless.

Please contact Micromatic to discuss your application needs, so we can work together to identify the right rotary actuator to meet your requirements.
